have a wish to put something back into our local community

·      enjoy the company of other diverse members of our community

·      can spare one and a half to two hours on a Monday evening to socialise, have a first class
  meal and to be informed by interesting speakers (from 5.30pm at the RSA complex,
  Victoria St, Rangiora) 

·    would enjoy belonging to a global organisation which offers a extensive overseas hospitality and chances to contribute.

Every year we send young people:

·      to leadership training

·      to the science summer school

·      to the Boyle River Outdoor Education centre

·      to Outward Bound
·     
on Spirit of New Zealand team building sailings


We also have an annual grant to assist deserving students with tertiary fees.

Where does the money go?

·      We have contributed to the Dudley Pool Aquatic centre

·      We contribute regularly to overseas projects aimed at improving the quality of life for local village people.

·      We make regular contributions to Rotary’s International projects such as the elimination of Polio from our world.

·      We participate in global exchanges designed to enhance better understanding between countries.

·      We make grants to local organisations such as; Scouts, Girl’s Brigade, Big Brothers Big Sisters North Canterbury and many others

We raise our money through a variety of enjoyable activities including:
Our weekly sausage sizzles in front of the Rangiora New World Supermarket, the annual phone book packing and delivery, and the biennial book sale.

We aim to widen our membership to better reflect the nature of our local community. Men and women of all ages, beliefs and ethnicity are welcome.
